At Lincoln University there are plenty of students with talents and skills. Often these skills can be used to their benefit. Some include piercing, cutting hair, cooking, tutoring, etc. Being a college student you can run into some problems, but the most common problem is having enough money.
Miguel Reinoso (Junior) is a well known barber on campus that has a successful business cutting hair. “Miracle Miggs” started in 2020 when COVID-19 hit its peak. With a high demand for haircuts during the pandemic, Miguel found that it was a good way for him to earn money. Through watching videos and practicing on his family members Miguel picked up the skill fairly quickly. After some time, Miguel got the word out to the public that he started officially cutting hair.
“Just the fact that you can be your own boss and set your own hours and also set your own worth, things like that are the reason I feel like I made the right decision,” Miguel stated. Business has continued to expand. There has been a big difference from when “Miracle Miggs” first started to now. His client base continues to expand and the future looks bright. Miguel is currently expanding his skills into braiding and facial groomings.
Miguel is one of many LU students that have their own businesses and he hopes that in time he can continue to upgrade his equipment and connect with more clients. You can connect with Miguel on Instagram at @miracle_miggs if you need a fresh look or a shape up!
