Senior Cynthia Johnson has made a great impact during her time at The Lincoln University.
A native of Baltimore, she brought her talents from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute as both a volleyball player and basketball player.
“Playing two sports takes good time management skills and commitment,” Johnson said.
Even beyond the athletic courts, Johnson has plenty to manage.
She is a chemistry major with a math minor, and after graduation in the spring, Johnson plans to attend graduate school to pursue a career in chemical engineering.
And she wants to create her own personal care products.
During her last home volleyball game against Bowie State University, Johnson helped lead the Lady Lions to victory with nine kills and nine digs.
She’s now looking forward to basketball season, which starts Nov. 15 with a game against Morgan State University in Baltimore. The team’s home opener is scheduled for Nov. 23 against Wilmington (Del.) University.
“I feel like we’re going to have a great basketball season,”Johnson said.
“We have returners that have unfinished business from last season,” she said. “The recruits are also prepared for the season. The commitment, the heart and the fight are there. We just have to put everything together.”
