The Road to Miss CIAA Every year our Miss Lincoln University is granted the opportunity to run for Miss CIAA. This annual competition allow our campus royalty to compete for a crown against 45 other HBCU Queens. For the past 3 years Lincoln’s queen has been 2nd runner up, this year our Miss Lincoln Tamia Casey feels that she can break that mold and bring us home the title as Miss CIAA. By Michael Howard To kick off 2017 Spring Fling week, the new Mr. and Miss Lincoln, Tomell Harbison and Nile Garner, serving for the 2017-18 academic school year has been announced. The pageant consisted of five amazing contestants who battled each other in three rounds (the auditory, talent round and the question round) to win the crown. The contestants were Nile Garner, Tamarrin Johnson, Chinonye Agu, Jarrel Strong and Tomell Harbison. In the end Harbison and Garner took home the title of the Mr and Miss. Lincoln. The pageant was hosted by last years’ winners Kendall Gilbert and Janaya Joyner who did a great job representing the University at nation wide pageants, in the classroom and even just everyday social life while interacting on campus. Kendall Gilbert Recently I hosted my first event by myself as Mr. Lincoln called "Good Fits." The premise of the event was to show freshman males when, where, and how to wear different kinds of dress clothes. It was a fashion expo and a mixer at the same time. I had a runway of models consisting of other male leaders on campus and served pizza and other refreshments. “It was amazing! It’s Coronation Season!

By Kendall Gilbert It is homecoming season for many colleges and universities. As a result, of that most weeks start off with a wondrous event called coronation. Coronation is the crowning ceremony of the campus’ King and Queen. Every coronation is different. Some people fly from the ceiling, while others come in on white horses and the rest just get a sparkling, gem encrusted crown. With having the pleasure to serve as Mister Lincoln University for Lincoln University of PA, I have gotten to go to many coronations, and even had one of my own. My coronation was spectacular!
