Abdullah H. Abdur-Razzaq, a close friend to Malcolm X and member of the Nation of Islam is here at Lincoln University this to speak with students and professors about his experiences and relationship with the late Malcolm X.

Razzaq was interviewed by Manning Marble for his book entitled “The Reinvention of Malcolm X” and the mention of Lincoln University caught the attention of Lincoln University religion professor Melvin Leaman.

Leaman at the time was developing a course that combined religion and ethics of Malcolm X, Mahatma Gandhi, and Martin Luther King.

While researching The Columbia University Malcolm X Project, interviews involving Razzaq speculated that he was a close associate with Malcolm X.

The Columbia University Malcolm X Project is a project at Columbia University that studies and finds new information contributing to the life and times of Malcolm X since 2001.

Leaman recently discovered that Razzaq was working with the Schulenburg Institute as a contributor for letters, videos, and research that they did for years on the life of Malcolm X.

Further research by Leaman led him to Brooklyn, New York where Razzaq currently resides and recent interaction led to the planning of Razzaq to travel to Lincoln University.

Razzaq will appear from through Wednesday to speak with students and faculty about his experiences with the Nation of Islam and his time while an undergraduate at Lincoln University.
