DOPE FEST – Artist Reveal

https://youtu.be/0JDu3LbG-Mw The 2018-2019 Golden Age Student Government Association has been planning Spring Fling since the late weeks of December 2018. Spring fling is just another opportunity for students to engage with outside organizations, celebrities and a week of events to enjoy on campus. This years theme is “Dope Fest” SGA plans to incorporate a California vibe and culture to the campus. SGA is looking forward to having Hip-Hop artist City Girls, and G herbo. Headline this years concert with support from rising African artist Burna boy, as well as R&B sensation Lucky Daye to take part in a campus concert and after party. There is plenty more to expect, but for now mark your calendars for April 1-7, 2019.

For Lincoln By Lincoln Curl Fest

The 2018-2019 Student Government Association will be planning the first ever Curlfest for Students. This festival is is geared to individuals with Natural hair, there will be barbers, hair stylist, natural hair products and other vendors providing goods or services. During the event be sure to attend the Natural Hair break out session, there will be hair care tips, free samples and salon styles giving out there tips about taking care of natural hair. This event is scheduled to take place in the Wellness cafeteria doors will open at at 5:00pm EST on Friday, February 15, 2019.

The Road to Miss CIAA Every year our Miss Lincoln University is granted the opportunity to run for Miss CIAA. This annual competition allow our campus royalty to compete for a crown against 45 other HBCU Queens. For the past 3 years Lincoln’s queen has been 2nd runner up, this year our Miss Lincoln Tamia Casey feels that she can break that mold and bring us home the title as Miss CIAA. Aisja Cunningham LINCOLN UNIVERSITY- Public Safety is present to ensure the safety and protection of Lincoln University’s campus. However, black students do not view police officers in general as their protectors; they view them as someone who harasses and criminalizes them. According to Lincoln University’s website, its main campus is patrolled by armed, sworn Police Officers commissioned by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Education & Training Commission. The Department of Public Safety provides services of prevention, detection, and investigation of criminal and non-criminal incidents.
