Starting this month, The Lincoln University will begin its search for a new Athletic Director after the departure of its previous Athletic Director, Diantha Ford-Kee (photograph shown above).

The university’s Athletic Department has put together a search committee to find a replacement for Ford-Kee and will begin meeting shortly.

“The search committee [will be] made up of myself, Winnie Washington,  (the) current SGA president, and two representatives of the Student Athletic Advisory,” said Dr. F. Carl Walton, standing Interim Director of Athletics.

In addition,. Dana Flint, the faculty athletics representative, will also be interviewing candidates for the search.

“We are currently in the process of interviewing candidates and hope to have a successful search completed shortly, “ said Flint, who is also a senior professor of philosophy in the Department of Philosophy and Religion.

This past November, Ford-Kee resigned from her position and took the position of Athletic Director at Mississippi Valley State University, an NCAA Division I school.

The university hopes to have a new Athletic Director by the end of the spring semester.
